Assist in the design and drafting of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for various projects and gain practical experience in a leading MEP consultancy.
🎯 About the Role
A-Square MEP Consultants is seeking an MEP Design Intern to support their engineering team. This role involves learning and contributing to the design, drafting, and documentation of MEP systems, with progressive training across all disciplines.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing MEP design drawings based on inputs from senior engineers.
- Learn to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP coordination drawings.
- Assist in basic load calculations for electrical and HVAC systems.
- Prepare equipment schedules and draft bill of quantities (BOQ).
- Coordinate with architectural and structural drawings to identify clashes.
- Attend site visits to understand practical implementation of MEP designs.
- Support project progress tracking and drawing submission schedules.
✅ Requirements & Skills
- Knowledge of basic MEP engineering concepts from academic study.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D is mandatory.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Basic understanding of the National Building Code (NBC) and relevant Indian standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Fresh graduates or final year students with a B.Tech, B.E., or Diploma in relevant engineering fields.
