Modelling Sr. Engineer/ Associate Manager

Execute high-precision manual mold modifications for New Product Development, translating design concepts into physical molds.

🎯 About the Role

This role involves translating digital designs into physical molds by managing shrinkage factors and draft angle accuracy. You will ensure digital designs are validated through physical test castings and downstream dimensional checks, working closely with various teams.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 📐 Apply accurate shrinkage factors for ceramic product 'green size'.
• 🧐 Perform checks on mold fitment and finish after CNC milling.
• ✍️ Prepare modification reports based on test casting data.
• 🔧 Execute manual mold modifications to resolve functional and dimensional issues.
• ✅ Validate modifications by performing 'Before & After' dimensional comparisons.
• 📊 Lead test casting of milled molds to identify gaps between required and actual output.
• 🕵️ Inspect draft angles post-milling to ensure they are not negative.
• 🔬 Perform 'KANSA' checks of sample pieces at various stages.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎨 Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (Ceramic Industrial Design).
• 🛠️ 5-8 years in Hand modeling and mold development.
• 💻 Expertise in Creo CAD (3D & 2D), Think Design, and Design X.
• 🔧 Proficiency in Manual molding, shrinkage factor calculation, and mold fitment analysis.
• 🚶 Expertise in ceramic demolding processes and manual mold modification.
• 🔄 Adaptability for troubleshooting and strict focus on 'Before/After' validation.
