US Fixed Income Intern

Gain hands-on experience in US fixed income market research and contribute to critical business initiatives.

🎯 About the Role

This internship focuses on expanding the scope of fixed income market research, covering US policy, market events, and macro data. You will be involved in cross-departmental projects to enhance synergy and assist with crucial tasks. This role is ideal for individuals with a math, finance, or engineering/programming background.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 📊 Prepare US Fixed Income Daily Mark-to-Market (MTM) and Relative Value Reports.
• 🤝 Act as a daily operational contact with middle and back office teams.
• 📈 Assist with CIBM efforts, including bond investment and hedge-related tasks.
• 🏠 Support mortgage-related valuation and prepayment analysis.
• 📰 Conduct macro and monetary policy research, and prepare monthly reports with ESG/CRA projects.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Junior/Senior acceptable) in Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Financial Engineering.
• 💻 Intermediate understanding of coding languages such as SQL, R, Python, Java, or C++ is a plus.
• 📊 Basic knowledge in research and experience in global FICC, especially fixed income and interest rates, is preferred.
• ✍️ Basic writing skills and knowledge in macroeconomics are a must.
• 🗣️ Bilingual ability in Mandarin and English is preferred.
• 🤝 Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) are essential.
• 👥 Ability to collaborate with team members on research projects.
• 💪 Solid work ethic and high levels of motivation.
• 🌍 Understanding of China/US macro indicators, currency, and policies is preferred.

💰 Compensation: $19.00 - $19.00 /Hr.
