Government Business Development Lead

Spearhead government business development by forging strategic relationships and identifying key opportunities within public sector institutions.

🎯 About the Role

This senior role focuses on identifying and developing business opportunities across Central Government, State Governments, PSUs, and other public-sector institutions. You will build relationships, understand government project lifecycles, and strategically drive opportunities from lead identification through bidding and award.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• ✅ Build and maintain strong professional relationships with government departments and agencies.
• ✅ Develop a strong network across key government stakeholders and decision-makers.
• ✅ Identify upcoming opportunities related to government events, exhibitions, and cultural programmes.
• ✅ Track and identify relevant tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and empanelment opportunities.
• ✅ Go beyond published tenders to understand projects at the planning/pre-tender stage.
• ✅ Evaluate opportunities and recommend bid/no-bid decisions.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• ✅ 10–15+ years of relevant experience, with significant exposure to Government/PSU business development.
• ✅ Prior experience within events, experiential marketing, exhibitions, or allied sectors is strongly preferred.
• ✅ Demonstrated experience in successfully identifying, pursuing, and winning Government tenders/RFPs.
• ✅ Strong existing relationships and understanding of the government ecosystem.
• ✅ Good understanding of government procurement processes and e-procurement systems.
• ✅ Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
