🎯 About the Role

Under the guidance of CHI’s AVP of Grants Management, this internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit finance, operations, and systems within a federated model. It's an excellent opportunity to develop professional skills in a collaborative environment while contributing to impactful organizational projects.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 📋 Support the build-out of CHI’s Finance Intranet by compiling standard operating procedures, resource materials, and training videos.
• 📋 Develop and organize general guidance materials for sites on CHI’s new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, NetSuite.
• 📋 Assist in drafting and organizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for core finance team workflows.
• 📋 Support basic operational organization for the finance team, including file management and SharePoint site maintenance.
• 📋 Participate in finance team meetings and contribute to planning and coordination.
• 📋 Research best practices in nonprofit finance operations and help apply findings to CHI’s internal processes.

• 📝 Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• 📝 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• 📝 Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• 📝 Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and synthesize information clearly.
• 📝 Enthusiastic, reliable, and a quick learner eager to make a difference.

💰 Compensation: $17/hour

⏳ Duration: 3 months

📍 Location: Hybrid (NYC metropolitan area)
