Consumer Research Intern

Conduct customer exit interviews and analyze feedback to drive improvements in the in-store experience for a retail brand.

This role involves engaging directly with shoppers to understand their in-store experience, from product selection to purchase decisions. You will capture valuable feedback and translate it into practical recommendations for retail operations, merchandising, and marketing teams.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🗣️ Conduct structured exit interviews with customers.
• 🛒 Capture feedback on store experience, product assortment, pricing, and staff interaction.
• 👀 Observe shopper behavior and identify friction points.
• 🗂️ Maintain accurate interview records and ensure consistent data capture.
• 📊 Analyze responses to identify themes, segments, and opportunities.
• 📈 Prepare weekly insight summaries with findings and recommended actions.
• 🤝 Work closely with retail operations, merchandising, and marketing teams.
• 💡 Support quick feedback studies around new initiatives.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Design, or related field.
• 💬 Comfortable approaching and speaking with customers in a retail environment.
• 👂 Strong listening, probing, and communication skills.
• 🧐 Curious about consumer behavior, fashion/activewear, fitness, and retail.
• 🗂️ Detail-oriented and disciplined in recording responses.
• 💻 Comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets for organizing feedback.
• 🚗 Willing to travel between Cult Store locations and work during operating hours.
• 🗣️ Fluency in English and Hindi; local language proficiency is a plus.
