This in-person internship offers hands-on experience by supporting the handbag & accessories design and product development teams at a modern fashion brand.
π― About the Role
As a Product Development Intern, you will gain practical experience in a creative, fast-paced environment. You'll support design and product development teams, focusing on quality design and elevated accessories, with responsibilities ranging from system maintenance to sample coordination and material allocation.
π οΈ Key Responsibilities
- π» Help update and maintain PLM systems with the latest product information, including materials, colors, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- π¦ Maintain and organize all incoming and outgoing samples, including packing, recording, and keeping proto closets organized.
- π Coordinate sample launches, ensuring all necessary materials and information are prepared for development partners, including shipping to vendors.
- 𧡠Assist with material allocations and technical documentation required for sample execution.
- βοΈ Assist with the development process by adding information to technical packages, specs, and approvals.
- β° Track development timelines, ensuring on-time delivery of materials and samples.
- ποΈ Track and organize materials being sourced and developed in appropriate systems.
- π§Ή Support team in keeping the materials closet organized, tidy, and cataloging items.
- π€ Assist in final sample BOM pass off to production.

- π Interest in womenβs apparel/accessories and lifestyle brands and e-commerce businesses.
- π‘ Motivated and eager to learn.
- κΌΌκΌΌ Meticulous attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- π£οΈ Strong communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- π Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
- π₯οΈ Experience with PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel (a plus).
- π Strong professional interest in fashion, product development, and materials.
