Proposal Engineer

As a Proposal Engineer, you will be instrumental in crafting accurate and competitive technical and commercial quotations for customer RFQs and tenders.

🎯 About the Role

This role acts as a crucial link between Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations, ensuring that every proposal is technically sound, cost-effective, and meets customer requirements. You will analyze RFQs, develop technical solutions, and prepare comprehensive proposal documents.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🔍 Analyze RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents to understand scope and compliance.
• 💡 Develop tailored technical solutions that meet customer needs.
• 💰 Prepare detailed cost estimates for equipment, services, and third-party needs.
• 📝 Compile complete techno-commercial proposals, including technical write-ups and BOMs.
• 🗣️ Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and other departments for proposal development.
• 📈 Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to enhance proposal competitiveness.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 📅 4-6 years of experience in technical sales, estimation, or proposal engineering.
• 💻 Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• 📄 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• 💼 Understanding of costing, pricing, and margin concepts.
• 💬 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• ⏱️ Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
