๐ฏ About the Role
This internship provides exposure to reinsurance renewals, business processes, and data analysis using vendor and proprietary models. You will contribute to research projects focusing on key natural catastrophe perils.
๐ ๏ธ Key Responsibilities
- ๐ Support project work related to Nat Cat perils research, data collection, and model evaluation.
- ๐ก Assist client service and Nat Cat research network initiatives for APAC.
- ๐ Contribute to treaty reinsurance renewals using vendor Cat models and proprietary pricing tools.
- ๐ Potential exposure to modelling and monitoring of Cat portfolio and accumulation control.
โ Requirements & Skills
- ๐ Tertiary education in a highly numerate discipline (e.g., Earth Sciences, Engineering, Maths/Statistics).
- ๐ก Interest in learning catastrophe modelling and reinsurance.
- ๐ Solid analytical, problem-solving approach.
- ๐ฃ๏ธ Clear communicator, able to explain complex issues simply.
- ๐ค Team player.
- ๐คน Ability to multi-task.
- ๐ป SQL, VBA, GIS, or R programming skills are a distinct advantage.
โณ Duration: 6 months or longer, minimum 4 days per week
