Engineering Intern - Electrical

Gain practical experience in electrical engineering by contributing to design projects, process improvements, and building resources for the engineering department.

🎯 About the Role

This internship provides hands-on experience in machine electrical design, including power, controls, and wiring diagrams, using SolidWorks and PDM. You will work on meaningful projects for process improvement and design standardization, and have the opportunity to take certification exams.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 📐 Contribute to design and process improvement projects.
• 🔧 Expand and improve the company's CAD vault.
• ⚙️ Support detailing for engineers and design changes.
• 🤝 Work closely with senior engineers and report to an Intern Supervisor.
• 📈 Present completed projects to the engineering department and executive team.
• 💡 Learn the essentials of machine electrical design.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Majoring in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
• 📚 Completed a minimum of two years of engineering curriculum with core courses; GPA = 3.0 preferred.
• 💻 Experience with SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD program; familiarity with CAD vaults and revision control.
• 📊 Windows 11 and Microsoft Office skills required, especially Excel.
• 🗂️ Ability to stay organized while working on multiple projects.
• 🗣️ Strong communication skills.
