This program consists of three classes designed to provide students with technical instruction and practical experience in both double-entry and computerized accounting systems using QuickBooks. Competencies are aligned with state academic and career technical standards.
✅ Requirements & Skills
- 🎓 Completion of STEP Orientation.
- 📈 Algebra and Excel experience required for Accounting 1.
- ✍️ Completion of or concurrent enrollment in Typist: Keyboarding with a demonstrated proficiency of 40 WPM for QuickBooks/Accounting Clerk: Upgrade.
- 📚 Reading Assessment Requirement: Yes | 228 or higher on CASAS GOALS reading assessment for Accounting 1.
- 🔢 Math Assessment Requirement: Yes for Accounting 1.
- 🔗 Completion of Accounting 1 for Accounting 2.
- 🔗 Completion of Accounting 2 for QuickBooks/Accounting Clerk: Upgrade.
