Growth & Marketplace Manager

WhyNotTrips is seeking a driven individual to build and scale its travel marketplace from the ground up.

🎯 About the Role

This role focuses on building the growth engine for a two-sided marketplace, connecting travel organizers with travelers. You will work closely with founders and cross-functional teams to acquire organizers, build inventory, drive demand, and increase bookings and gross merchandise volume (GMV).

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🚀 Identify and acquire high-quality travel and experience organizers through various outreach channels.
• 📈 Build and maintain a healthy supply of experiences, analyze demand, and improve marketplace liquidity.
• ✈️ Develop and execute strategies to attract high-intent travelers through content, social media, partnerships, and paid acquisition.
• 💡 Design and execute growth experiments to optimize conversion funnels and identify new scalable growth channels.
• 📊 Track and report key growth and marketplace metrics, using data to drive decisions.
• 🤝 Build strategic relationships with travel communities, creators, businesses, and distribution partners.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🗓️ 2–5 years of experience in growth, marketplace, digital business, sales, or marketing.
• 📊 Strong understanding of customer acquisition funnels and experience with organic and/or paid growth.
• 🧠 Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• 🗣️ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• 🚀 Ability to work independently, execute quickly, and comfortable in an early-stage startup environment.
• 🌍 Experience in travel, OTA/travel marketplace, marketplace startups, D2C, SaaS, e-commerce, events/experiences, or community-led businesses is strongly preferred.

💰 Stipend: Competitive, based on experience and capabilities
