This role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of new packaging systems, as well as maintaining existing ones. You will provide innovative solutions to further the company's mission and market leadership, working within a multi-disciplinary project team to create significant impact.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 📦 Execute medical packaging design and development within project teams.
• 🧪 Conduct and own testing to support project activities.
• 📐 Generate complex prototype models to evaluate design concepts.
• 🗣️ Lead packaging evaluations with internal and external customers.
• 📝 Generate comprehensive protocols for testing and analyzing packaging.
• ✍️ Lead design control process documentation for projects and regulatory submissions.
• 📈 Act as project manager for packaging development, transfers, and design changes.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 B.S. required, preferably in Packaging Engineering or Engineering discipline.
• 💼 3 to 5 years of full-time (or relevant Co-op/Intern) packaging experience; Overall 5+ years experience.
• 💻 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio, Excel, and project management tools.
• 📏 Knowledge of drafting standards, geometric differences, stack-ups, and tolerances.
• 📜 Knowledge of FDA and EU MDR medical packaging regulatory requirements, standards, and test methods.
• 🔬 Knowledge of medical packaging materials and material processes.
• 🤝 Strong hands-on experience in packaging design, development, and validation.
• 📊 Good knowledge of packaging regulations (ISO 11607, FDA, ASTM, ISTA) and ability to execute tasks.
• 🗣️ Ability to independently drive cross-functional discussions and mentor junior engineers.
• 🗣️ Proficient technical written and verbal communication skills, including presentation.
• 💡 Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and adaptability skills.
