About The Traveling Black Women Network

The Traveling Black Women Network is a travel resource network that provides goods and services for novice to seasoned Black women travelers. What began as an independent publishing initiative through Diary of a Traveling Black Woman: A Guide to International Travel has grown into a multi-platform travel ecosystem designed to make international travel feel more accessible, culturally connected, and community-driven for Black women. At the core of our platform is our travel guide series, written from the vantage point of Black women and centered on firsthand travel experiences, practical destination guidance, suggested itineraries, budgeting insights, and reflections on navigating the world as Black women travelers. Today, our community shares travel resources and storytelling across four primary platforms: • Our blog, featuring destination guides, travel advice, cultural insights, and firsthand travel narratives • The Traveling Black Women Podcast, where we discuss travel, identity, wellness, global experiences, and conversations shaping the travel industry • Our YouTube channel, documenting immersive travel experiences and visual storytelling from destinations around the world • Our growing social and community platforms, where more than 20,000 Black women regularly exchange travel recommendations, advice, and real-time travel information Together, these platforms create a resourceful ecosystem for Black women to see themselves reflected in global travel while accessing resources that support confident and informed exploration.
