🎯 About the Role

This role involves applied research, solving broad data science problems, and developing machine learning/deep learning models. You will prototype new concepts, work with image and signal processing, and contribute to uncertainty quantification for high-consequence applications.

• 🔬 Be a member of a group of researchers/engineers solving difficult scientific problems for national security.
• 🔬 Apply state-of-the-art techniques to solve challenging data analysis problems for a wide array of customers.
• 🔬 Work collaboratively with customers to understand requirements, available data, and mission needs.
• 🔬 Contribute to rewarding missions through engagement with diverse computer science specialties.
• 🔬 Engage in Laboratory Directed Research and Development (LDRD) proposals.
• 🔬 Present and publish research, and collaborate to advance groundbreaking research.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 🔒 Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q and SCI clearance.
• 🎓 Graduate degree in Computer Science or a highly related field is desired.
• 💻 Demonstrated software development skills and familiarity with modern software development practices and tools (e.g., Agile) is desired.
• 📝 Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and a passion to improve and expand technical skills is desired.
• 🚀 Experience in Space Domain, Python, C++, Java, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Linux, publishing and presenting, and Agile methodologies is desired.

💰 Compensation: $102,400 - $199,700
