Sustainability Analytics Intern

Support sustainability initiatives by analyzing data, developing reports, and contributing to Delta's Net-Zero carbon emissions goals.

🎯 About the Role

Join the Sustainability Analytics team to work on pivotal projects aimed at achieving Net-Zero carbon emissions. You will engage in data analysis, pipeline development, reporting, and script evaluation, playing a critical role in eliminating climate impact from flying. This role requires working full-time for three alternating semesters.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 📊 Analyze sustainability-related operational data to uncover insights.
• 🏗️ Assist in the development of data pipelines for analytics processes.
• 📈 Create, automate, and maintain reports and dashboards.
• 🔍 Assess current scripts for efficiency and accuracy, recommending improvements.
• 📚 Document all existing scripts, workflows, and data structures.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree with at least a 3.0 GPA.
• 💻 Proficiency in a scripting programming language (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• 🗄️ Experience with SQL or database querying tools (ETL, data modeling).
• 📊 Experience with Tableau/Power BI.
• 🐍 Experience with common Python data libraries.
• 📈 Experience with Alteryx.
• 🧠 Proficiency in basic data analytics.
• 💪 Strong organizational, project management, and personal management skills.
• 🗣️ Robust verbal and written communication skills.
• 🤝 Ability to work well in teams.
