Tax Intern – Summer 2027

Gain hands-on experience in federal and state income tax compliance, accounting, and audit defense within a Fortune 25 health company.

🎯 About the Role

This summer internship offers exposure to various tax areas, including income, sales/use, property, and premium tax. You will support the Tax department by assisting with compliance, accounting, and special projects.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 📊 Perform in-depth data analysis and tax modeling.
• ⚖️ Research and analyze tax law.
• 🛡️ Support ongoing state and/or federal tax audits.
• 📝 Prepare selected tax filings.
• 🤝 Work with a tax team to deliver outstanding results.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Currently enrolled in a BA/BS degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ⏱️ Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
• 📈 Interest in pursuing a career in taxation (CPA path preferred).
• 🧠 Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• 🗣️ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 💻 Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel, Word, and Access.
