🎯 About the Role
This 10-week paid internship offers undergraduate and graduate students the chance to work on meaningful projects, attend development workshops, and network with professionals. Interns will be mentored by their managers and contribute to key business initiatives in various technical and non-technical tracks.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- 📊 Evaluate opportunities to reduce healthcare costs and improve care value through claims analysis.
- 🤝 Work with a mentor to support key strategic projects.
- 🎯 Complete work assignments based on business needs and departmental priorities.
- 📈 Perform a mix of technical and non-technical tasks across business projects.
- 🎓 Create and deliver presentations at the completion of the internship.
✅ Requirements & Skills
- 🎓 Desired Majors: Actuarial, Statistics, Math, Economics, or similar.
- 💻 Preferred experience with Excel, coding (SAS, SQL, R, Python), and communication.
- 📚 High School diploma and proof of continuous college enrollment (full-time undergraduate or graduate program).
- 🌟 Must be in good academic standing.
- 🗣️ Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- 🤹 Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- 🤝 Ability to work well in a team and establish good working relationships.
- 🧠 Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- 🚀 Proactive, creative, and flexible approach to work.
- 💡 Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- 💻 Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and professional desktop computer use.
