As an actuarial intern, you will work with credentialed actuaries on complex projects for insurance companies, developing technical skills and gaining practical experience. This role offers significant exposure to various aspects of insurance operations.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- 📊 Assist with pricing, valuation, and development of insurance products.
- 📈 Work on financial projections for clients’ insurance businesses.
- 🌟 Seek and participate in key learning and development opportunities.
- 🤝 Build strong relationships internally and with client representatives.
- 📝 Document, review, and present your own work.
- 📄 Assist in creating detailed project plans.
✅ Requirements & Skills
- ✅ Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely and without Visa sponsorship.
- 🎓 Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related quantitative field with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- 💡 Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams highly preferred.
- 💼 Work or extracurricular experience demonstrating strong technical, client service, and leadership skills.
- 🗣️ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- 💻 Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
💰 Compensation: $36.00 – $41.00/hr.
