Red Balloon Aerospace Pvt. Ltd., headquartered in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, is a deep-tech startup in stratospheric mobility with sustainable, AI-powered lighter-than-air platforms. Founded by leaders with experience at ISRO, Skyroot Aerospace, HAL, and academia, the company is developing three flagship platforms - VISTA, Versatile Intelligent Stratospheric Asset (high-altitude super-pressure balloons for persistent intelligence, communication relays, and earth observation), ALTIS, Advanced Long-Endurance Tethered Intelligence System (advanced long-endurance tethered aerostats for border surveillance, maritime domain awareness, and disaster response), and HELIX, Hydrogen-Elevated Logistics Infrastructure eXpress (hydrogen-lift cargo airships enabling sustainable long-range logistics with payloads up to 20 tons). Together, these modular, interoperable platforms fill the critical gap between drones with limited endurance and costly satellites, providing persistent operations in the 1 to 50 km near-space domain. Complementing the platforms, the Data Inference & Visualization Engine (DIVE) transforms stratospheric data into actionable intelligence for defense, disaster relief, agriculture, climate monitoring, and infrastructure planning. • VISTA - High-altitude super-pressure balloons operating in the 20–50 km stratosphere for persistent earth observation, science payloads, and communication relay. • ALTIS - Long-endurance tethered aerostats for continuous surveillance, communication, and data-relay along fixed or semi-fixed points. • HELIX - Medium-to-heavy-lift hydrogen airships (20-ton class) for sustainable cargo transport, long-range logistics, and strategic payload delivery.
