Power Systems Intern

Contribute to the design, development, and testing of power systems for aerospace applications.

🎯 About the Role

This internship focuses on energy generation, storage, regulation, and power conditioning within near-space environments. You will work closely with electrical, avionics, and systems engineering teams.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🔌 Assist in designing power distribution architectures for aerostat and balloon platforms
• 🔋 Support development of battery management systems (BMS) for Li-ion/Li-Po batteries
• 💡 Work on DC-DC converters, voltage regulators, and power conditioning modules
• ☀️ Contribute to solar array integration and Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) systems
• 📈 Perform electrical testing, load analysis, and efficiency measurements
• 💻 Document test procedures, results, and failure analysis reports
• 🔗 Collaborate with avionics team for power-avionics interface design
• 🔬 Research on high-altitude power system architectures and COTS components

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Pursuing or completed B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
• ⚡ Basic understanding of power electronics, battery systems, and solar power
• 💻 Familiarity with circuit design tools (LTSpice, MATLAB, or similar)
• 🔌 Knowledge of DC-DC converters, voltage regulators, and protection circuits
• 🛠️ Hands-on Experience With Soldering, Prototyping, And Testing Preferred
• 🧠 Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Ability to work independently and in a team environment
