🎯 About the Role

This role provides customer service, bookkeeping, financial record-keeping, and administrative support within the Town’s financial operations. You will work collaboratively with the Finance team to manage municipal tax collections and daily office operations.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

💬 Provide customer service to residents, taxpayers, and financial institutions.
🧾 Explain tax bills and resolve routine questions and complaints.
💰 Receive, process, and record tax payments and other municipal receivables.
📈 Perform bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping functions.
🏦 Assist with day-to-day operations, including bank and post office trips.

✅ Requirements & Skills

🎓 High School diploma and two years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
🧮 Working knowledge of standard bookkeeping principles and procedures.
💻 Proficiency with standard office procedures and technology.
🗣️ Excellent communication and customer service skills, including patience and courtesy.
🚗 A valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle during the workday.
