This on-site internship offers hands-on exposure to alternative protein development, supporting ongoing R&D and pilot-scale projects. You'll contribute to building a more sustainable planet by assisting in laboratory experiments and data collection.

🎯 About the Role

As an Alternative Proteins R&D Intern, you'll prepare samples, collect and analyze data, and maintain lab records under supervision. You may also assist with equipment setup, literature reviews, and support scaling up formulations from lab to pilot scale.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🧪 Support ongoing R&D and pilot-scale projects in alternative proteins
• 🔬 Assist with laboratory experiments and sample preparation
• 📊 Collect and perform basic data analysis under supervision
• 📝 Maintain lab records and contribute to documentation for project reports
• 📖 Be involved in literature reviews and benchmarking studies
• 🚀 Support activities related to scaling up formulations from lab to pilot scale

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Foundational knowledge in food science, biotechnology, biochemistry, microbiology, or a related discipline
• 🔍 Ability to follow laboratory protocols and maintain accurate records
• 🧪 Skill in handling basic lab equipment safely
• 📚 Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to review scientific literature and summarize findings clearly
• 🗣️ Good written and verbal communication skills
• 🌱 Interest in sustainability, alternative proteins, and innovation in plant-based or novel food products
• 🧐 High level of curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, project-oriented setting
• 📍 Availability to work on-site in Bengaluru
• 💼 Prior internship or project experience in food or life sciences (advantage)
