🎯 About the Role
This co-op role focuses on targeted test planning, execution, and documentation for electromechanical systems. You will translate design intent, manufacturing variations, and field failure patterns into verification and validation test methods, collaborating with various engineering teams.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- 📋 Plan and execute verification and validation tests for subassemblies and systems.
- 📝 Develop clear test procedures, setup instructions, and acceptance criteria.
- 🛠️ Support development and manufacture of test fixtures.
- 📈 Characterize the range of manufacturing and assembly variation.
- 🔍 Expand factory acceptance testing protocols.
- 💡 Support lab or manufacturing reproductions of field issues.
- 📊 Collect, organize, and analyze test results.
✅ Requirements & Skills
- 🎓 Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 💡 Interest in verification and validation, test engineering, reliability, or quality engineering.
- ⚙️ Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- 🖱️ Experience with CAD for reviewing designs (SolidWorks preferred).
- 🧩 Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- ✍️ Ability to write clear test plans and technical summaries.
- 📊 Experience with data analysis or scripting tools (Excel, Python, MATLAB).
