π― About the Role
This internship offers a deep dive into investment data across various asset classes within BlackRock's Aladdin Data organization. You will be involved in resolving complex data issues, performing data quality checks, automating quality controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in data accuracy and accessibility.
π οΈ Key Responsibilities
- β Deliver high-quality client service, addressing inquiries and performing data quality checks.
- π Investigate and resolve complex data issues and perform ad hoc analysis.
- π‘ Initiate and contribute to platform and process enhancements.
- π Gain exposure to investment data across Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Alternatives.
- π Ensure the accuracy of large analytical datasets and automate quality checks.
- π€ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data anomalies.
- π§ Contribute to a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning.
β Requirements & Skills
- π§ Intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning about global financial markets.
- π€ Strong teamwork skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- π¬ Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- π» Basic knowledge of SQL, UNIX, or Python, with a desire to expand technical expertise.
- π Good understanding of fixed income, equity, and derivative instruments is an advantage.
- π Ability to investigate data anomalies and contribute to scalable quality control solutions.
- π Interest in automation, AI-enabled data checks, and continuous process improvement.
- π§βπΌ Client-centric mindset with awareness of how data quality impacts investment decisions.
- π Undergraduate or masterβs students of all academic backgrounds graduating between September 2026 and August 2028.
