Tax Co-op Student

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Co-op student to join our team. This position provides hands-on experience in preparing corporate, personal, and trust tax returns.

🎯 About the Role

You'll gain exposure to various tax engagements and develop foundational skills needed for a career in tax and public accounting. This role is specifically available for UVM GSB students.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 📝 Prepare personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns.
• 📄 Assist with preparation of tax and government filings.
• 📈 Support tax planning initiatives and research tax issues.
• 📂 Prepare and maintain tax working papers and documentation.
• 📧 Assist with correspondence to clients.
• ⏳ Ensure deadlines are met with accuracy and attention to detail.
• 🤝 Collaborate with senior staff on client engagements.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Enrolled in a Bachelor of Accounting program (3rd or 4th year preferred).
• 🏅 Strong interest in pursuing a CPA designation.
• 💻 Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• ⏰ Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• 🗣️ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 🎯 Detail-oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team.
