Legal & Risk Management Intern

Gain hands-on experience at the intersection of law and information technology within a leading global beauty company's APAC in-house commercial legal function.

🎯 About the Role

This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage in legal research, memo drafting, and database management, contributing to key topics such as data privacy, intellectual property, and risk management. You will work closely with the Legal & Risk Management (LRM) team and gain exposure to internal stakeholder engagement.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 📜 Assist in preparing legal documents and memoranda.
• ⚖️ Assist in conducting privacy audits and preparing action plans.
• 🎓 Support the preparation of legal and risk management training programmes.
• 🎨 Contribute to training materials development.
• 🔎 Conduct research and analysis on commercial law, data privacy, and IP topics.
• 📰 Draft internal newsletters summarizing legal and regulatory developments.
• 🗂️ Compile and organize the internal risk management reports database.
• 🖥️ Maintain and update the LRM intranet and legal know-how database.
• 📄 Update contract trackers and assist with contract management administration.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in law, or law and technology.
• 💄 Interest in the FMCG, beauty, and/or retail sectors.
• 🔒 Good working knowledge of data protection and privacy laws is a plus.
• 🌍 Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• 💻 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Sharepoint, Powerpoint).
• 🚀 Proactive with a high level of initiative.
• ⏱️ Ability to multitask and adjust priorities.
• 🤝 A well-rounded team player, collaborative and willing to learn.
• 🧐 Organized and detail-oriented.
