Finance Intern

Work closely with the founding team and creative director of a premium womenswear brand to manage financial operations and support strategic planning.

🎯 About the Role

This role involves maintaining accurate books of accounts, handling day-to-day bookkeeping, creating financial reports, and assisting with forecasting and strategic planning for a growing fashion brand. You will gain end-to-end understanding of finance in a startup environment.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🗂️ Maintain books of accounts with accuracy and consistency.
• 💰 Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, expense tracking, and reconciliations.
• 🧾 Create and manage invoices, receivables, and payables.
• 📊 Prepare financial statements (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet basics).
• 📈 Track product-level costing, margins, and profitability.
• 📝 Build structured reports for decision-making.
• 📅 Develop monthly forecasts and revenue projections.
• 🎯 Assist in setting targets and tracking performance.
• 💡 Identify inefficiencies and suggest cost optimizations.
• 🔒 Support ROC and GST filings.
• 🧑‍💼 Assist with payroll processing and compensation tracking.
• 🤝 Work on investor relations-reporting and communication.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Bachelor's/Master's Student in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related fields.
• ✨ Strong interest in startups, finance, and founder-led environments.
• 💻 Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets and numbers.
• 🔍 Highly detail-oriented with strong ownership.
• 🚀 Able to operate in a fast-paced, evolving setup.
• 📍 Based in Kolkata (preferred).
