Software Engineer - Instrumentation & Data / Product & UI/UX

🎯 About the Role

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building the fan-facing features of a React Native application. You will have the opportunity to own either the event taxonomy and data layer, or the fan-facing product surfaces. You will work directly with the founding team, with no intermediaries.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🚀 Own the event taxonomy and client data layer (Instrumentation & Data track).
• 💡 Design and ship fan-facing product surfaces based on data insights (Product & UI/UX track).
• 📊 Define what to measure and how fans are identified across web and mobile.
• 📈 Work directly with the founding team to make critical decisions.
• 🚀 Ship features in React Native that are used by fans.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• ⚛️ Shipped a React Native application that has been used by others.
• 🤔 Thinks about product equally as implementation, with opinions on UI/UX.
• 🤖 Experienced with agentic tooling like Claude Code or Cursor.
• 🚀 Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly to complete work.
• 📊 Familiarity with analytics tools like PostHog is a plus.

💰 Compensation: $20/hr

⏳ Duration: Mid-October through December, with extension likely

📍 Location: Boston area · hybrid
