Arena Operations Intern

USA Hockey Arena is seeking a dependable and confident college student interested in gaining hands-on experience in arena operations, sports management and live-event administration.

🎯 About the Role

Working under the supervision of arena management, the intern will assist with hockey games and other arena events while learning event staffing, guest service, safety and facility operations.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🏒 Assist with event-day preparation, staff meetings, and operational checklists.
• 🤝 Work alongside arena management in coordinating event staff.
• 🏃 Assist with crowd management, guest concerns, and event setup/breakdown.
• 🏢 Participate in an office day each week focused on event planning and operations.
• 💡 Learn facility policies and emergency procedures.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Currently enrolled in a college or university and approved for academic credit.
• 🏅 Interest in sports management, facility management, or related fields.
• ⏰ Reliable, punctual, organized, and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• 💪 Confident, assertive, and able to remain calm in difficult situations.
• 🔞 At least 18 years old, with reliable transportation.

⏳ Duration: Unpaid educational internship for college credit
