Engineering Intern

Assist in the preparation, review, and maintenance of engineering and quality documents, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

🎯 About the Role

The Engineering Intern will be asked to perform a variety of entry-level technical duties as needed to assist in the preparation, review, and maintenance of engineering/quality documents, and create ad hoc reports. The candidate will utilize their field of study (chemical, industrial, electrical, mechanical, civil) degree paths to bring critical-thinking skills into the role and to gain hands-on experience in the assigned internship.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• ⚙️ Optimization of current processes assigned by management.
• 🏭 Work on enhancing operational equipment efficiency (OEE).
• 📜 Create or modify standard operating procedures (SOP's).
• ✅ Perform line and process audits utilizing the plants Quality Management System (QMS).
• 💰 Assist in writing authorization for expenditures (AFE's).
• ⏱️ Engage in time motion studies.
• 🤝 Participate in various assigned facility meetings, teams, and initiatives.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 High school diploma or equivalent required; applicant must be a student attending classes at a university/college.
• 🧮 Must have strong attention to detail and excellent math skills.
• 🏃 Must be able to multi-task and willing to work in a very fast paced environment.
• 🔗 Lean Tools knowledge.
• 📊 Ability to compile and record data accurately.
• 🧠 Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and critical thinking skills.
• 🗣️ Excellent communication skills (Phone, IM, Email, in person).
• 🗄️ Organization skills.
• 💻 Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
