Backend Engineer Intern

🎯 About the Role

As a Backend Engineer Intern, you'll contribute to the development of a production learning platform that combines learning, gamification, career development, and cybersecurity training into a single ecosystem. You will work closely with the founding team to design, develop, and improve backend systems that currently power thousands of learners and are being built to scale for millions in the future.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🔧 Build and maintain backend services for the learning platform.
• ⚙️ Design and develop scalable REST APIs.
• 🔐 Develop authentication, authorization, and user management systems.
• 🗄️ Design efficient PostgreSQL database schemas.
• 🔗 Integrate third-party services and APIs.
• 💻 Collaborate with frontend developers to deliver end-to-end features.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 💡 Good knowledge of Node.js and Express/Fastify.
• 💾 Understanding of PostgreSQL or relational databases.
• 🌐 Knowledge of REST APIs and familiarity with authentication concepts (JWT/OAuth).
• 👨‍💻 Experience with Git.
• 🧠 Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• 🚀 Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
