🎯 About the Role
This Co-Op position provides hands-on experience in designing fixturing for various manufacturing operations, fabricating custom parts, and analyzing manufacturing areas for process improvements. You will gain valuable experience in manufacturing processes and analysis.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- 🔩 Design fixturing to support welding, machining, testing, and assembly operations.
- 📏 Generate drawings and bills of materials, purchase components, and assemble/test fixtures.
- 🔨 Fabricate custom parts using equipment like drill presses or shears.
- 🛒 Investigate and purchase tools and equipment.
- ⚙️ Analyze manufacturing areas for process improvements.
- 💡 Support prototype builds for new product development.
✅ Requirements & Skills
- 🎓 Major studies in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering.
- 🌟 Minimum 2.5 GPA.
- 💻 3D solid modeling experience (PTC Creo preferred).
- 📊 Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- 🛠️ Familiarity with machining and metal fabrication processes preferred.
