Support the launch of state-of-the-art systems through metallurgical analysis and gain experience managing projects from inception to completion.
๐ฏ About the Role
This internship focuses on metallurgical analysis within the Quality team, where you will learn to work with managers, supervisors, and production employees in a metallurgical lab and on the plant floor. You will create and manage projects and gain skills in data collection, analysis, and process improvement recommendations.
๐ ๏ธ Key Responsibilities
- ๐ฌ Operate instrumentation for metallurgical analysis.
- โ๏ธ Perform testing on a variety of carbon steels, stainless steels, and aluminum alloys.
- ๐ Deliver critical material analysis and inspection results.
- ๐งโ๐ง Support Heat Treat Metallurgical Laboratory daily operations.
โ Requirements & Skills
- ๐ Current enrollment in a BS program with a major in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
- ๐ Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
- ๐๏ธ Availability to work full-time from January to August 2027 or May to December 2027.
- ๐ Ability to enroll in a formalized co-op Program through your university.
- ๐ช Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.
๐ฐ Compensation: $18.00-27.50 per hour
