Support the launch of state-of-the-art systems through metallurgical analysis and gain experience managing projects from inception to completion.
🎯 About the Role
This internship focuses on metallurgical analysis within the Quality team, where you will learn to work with managers, supervisors, and production employees in a metallurgical lab and on the plant floor. You will create and manage projects and gain skills in data collection, analysis, and process improvement recommendations.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- 🔬 Operate instrumentation for metallurgical analysis.
- ⚙️ Perform testing on a variety of carbon steels, stainless steels, and aluminum alloys.
- 📊 Deliver critical material analysis and inspection results.
- 🧑🔧 Support Heat Treat Metallurgical Laboratory daily operations.
✅ Requirements & Skills
- 🎓 Current enrollment in a BS program with a major in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 📚 Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
- 🗓️ Availability to work full-time from January to August 2027 or May to December 2027.
- 🎓 Ability to enroll in a formalized co-op Program through your university.
- 💪 Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.
💰 Compensation: $18.00-27.50 per hour
