๐ฏ About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op, you will collaborate with experienced professionals to optimize the production and manufacture of outboard and sterndrive motors. You will manage assigned projects from inception to completion, becoming an integral part of the manufacturing team.
๐ ๏ธ Key Responsibilities
- ๐ก Participate in design reviews to improve manufacturing processes.
- ๐ Evaluate test/production data and recommend manufacturing methods.
- ๐ Design, plan, and conduct process improvement studies.
- ๐ค Evaluate vendor capabilities and qualify new processes.
- ๐ง Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and analyze data for cost reduction.
โ Requirements & Skills
- ๐ Currently enrolled in a BS program in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a Manufacturing emphasis.
- ๐ Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
- ๐๏ธ Availability to work full-time (40+ hours/week) through a full co-op term (Jan-Aug 2027 or May-Dec 2027).
- ๐งโ๐ Ability to enroll in a formalized co-op Program through your university.
- ๐ช Dependable, self-motivated, and an engaged learner.
- ๐๏ธ Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.
๐ฐ Compensation: $18.00-27.50 per hour
โณ Duration: January to August 2027 or May to December 2027
