IT Asset Management Intern

Are you detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and an interest in IT operations? This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to support IT asset management functions, ensuring accurate records and efficient handling of IT hardware throughout its lifecycle.

🎯 About the Role

This role supports the IT Asset Management function by assisting with asset tracking, procurement coordination, and inventory management. You will help ensure accurate asset records and efficient handling of IT assets from procurement through disposition, working closely with IT and Supply Chain teams.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 💻 Assist with tracking IT hardware throughout the asset lifecycle.
• 🏷️ Support asset intake activities, including receiving and tagging.
• 🗂️ Maintain accurate asset data in asset management systems.
• 📦 Monitor asset status, including in stock, deployed, returned, and retired.
• 📦 Support IT inventory management and storage organization.
• 🔢 Assist with periodic inventory counts and reconciliation.
• ❗ Identify and escalate discrepancies in inventory records.
• 🛒 Assist with tracking IT hardware purchase orders and shipments.
• 🚚 Support coordination of incoming asset deliveries.
• 📝 Assist in documenting standard asset configurations.
• 📚 Assist with maintaining asset management standard operating procedures.
• 🤝 Coordinate with IT teams on asset needs and deployment tracking.
• 🗣️ Support communication regarding asset availability and inventory updates.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field.
• 🧐 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• 💻 Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• 🗂️ Ability to follow processes and maintain accurate records.
• 🤝 Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• 💡 Interest in IT operations, asset management, or supply chain preferred.
• 🖥️ Basic understanding of IT hardware preferred.
• 📊 Exposure to inventory tracking or data entry processes preferred.
