Join Oceana's federal policy team to contribute to critical U.S. campaigns aimed at protecting marine life and advocating for sustainable ocean practices. This role offers hands-on experience in government relations and policy advocacy.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- 🏛️ Track and attend relevant congressional hearings and markups.
- 📜 Track legislation of interest to Oceana.
- ✍️ Conduct research and write policy memos.
- 🤝 Assist with NGO coalition management.
- 📧 Draft correspondence and schedule meetings.
✅ Requirements & Skills
- 🎓 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 🌊 Strong interest in ocean and other conservation issues.
- 🗣️ Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- 🎯 Excellent attention to detail.
- 💻 Good computer skills.
💰 Compensation: $18.50 - $22.50 per hour
