🎯 About the Role

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) seeks a graduate-level intern with library science expertise to help establish the WWF Legacy Library. You will apply library science principles to catalog, manage, and classify a diverse range of materials, creating an accessible and engaging library resource. This role offers significant learning outcomes in archival management and organizational design within a leading conservation organization.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 📚 Coordinate with the Legacy Library Committee to design and develop a classification system.
• 📝 Prepare a final draft guidance document for library upkeep.
• 📂 Design and implement an efficient procedure for processing library holdings.
• 📊 Draft recommendations for ongoing library acquisition, management, and lending procedures.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an ALA-accredited Master of Library Science program.
• 🗂️ Ability to apply library science principles to cataloging and organizing library materials.
• ⭐ Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• ⏰ Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively.
• 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
