Lobbying and Policy Intern

Gain hands-on experience in a bipartisan federal lobbying and government affairs practice, developing practical policy, research, and advocacy skills.

🎯 About the Role

This internship offers mentorship and professional development within a growing practice group, providing a deeper understanding of the federal policymaking process. You will monitor Congressional activity, prepare reports, and conduct research using specialized databases.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🇺🇸 Monitor US Congress, tracking legislative activity and drafting briefings.
• 📜 Prepare and draft reports on Congressional and federal regulatory activity.
• 🔍 Conduct research using Bloomberg Government, Congress.gov, and other databases.
• ✉️ Prepare internal and external correspondence.
• ⚙️ Perform administrative duties as requested.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 💼 Ability to work approximately 30 hours a week for approximately 12 weeks.
• 🤝 High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.
• ✍️ Ability to read, write, and communicate fluent English with proper grammar and spelling.
• 🗂️ Attention to detail, ability to balance multiple projects, and strong time management skills.
• 🧠 Ability to reason and apply common-sense understanding to situations.
• 🎓 Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 🏛️ Previous experience on Capitol Hill and/or in a government relations firm preferred.

💰 Compensation: $20.00 per hour

⏳ Duration: Approximately 12 weeks (Fall)
