🎯 About the Role

As a Tax Intern, you will work directly with the Tax team, gaining valuable experience in preparing individual and business tax returns. This role provides an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world scenarios in a fast-paced professional setting.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 📝 Prepare and assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• 📊 Organize and analyze tax documents received from clients.
• ⚖️ Conduct basic tax research and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• 🤝 Communicate with team members to resolve open items and gather additional documentation.
• 📁 Prepare supporting workpapers in accordance with firm standards.
• 💻 Utilize tax preparation software and internal systems.
• 📅 Support the tax team in meeting important filing deadlines and client deliverables.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 📚 Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting.
• 📈 Progress towards CPA eligibility.
• 🗂️ Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• 💻 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• ⏳ Availability to work up to 40 hours per week, with the potential for overtime.
• 🌱 Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
