Cell Slurry Engineering Intern

Support cell design and process development by executing experiments and utilizing analytical instruments in the field of battery technology.

🎯 About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to work with scientists and engineers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on developing next-generation solid-state batteries. You will gain hands-on experience with analytical instruments and contribute to product development efforts.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🔬 Execute planned experimentation in the lab and on pilot production equipment
• 📊 Support cell design & process development efforts
• 🎛️ Utilize analytical instruments including DSC, Rheometers, DMA, and FTIR
• 💪 Run mechanical testing such as peel adhesion and mandrel bend
• 🗣️ Communicate results and make recommendations for formulation improvements
• 📈 Support lab experimentation through data collection and analysis

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎛️ Experience in material characterization techniques (rheology, EIS, SEM/EDS, etc.) is a plus
• ✅ Comfort with safe handling of hazardous materials and equipment
• 📈 Foundation in statistical design (D.O.E.)
• 🔋 Knowledge of Li-ion battery cell operation, performance, and failure modes preferred
• 💻 Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite

💰 Compensation: $25/hour
