π― About the Role
This co-op program offers practical exposure to advanced steelmaking equipment, including CNC roll-grinding machines and precision mechanical systems. You'll work alongside experienced engineers in field environments, contributing to customer and project databases, AI-driven projects, and design manual development.
π οΈ Key Responsibilities
- π§ Assist with installation, calibration, repair, and commissioning of CNC roll-grinding machines.
- π οΈ Support mechanical and hydraulic inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- β Participate in safety checks, project site organization, and equipment condition verification.
- π© Take part in precision alignment activities for large mechanical castings and rollers.
- π Help prepare technical reports and documentation.
- π§βπ« Shadow senior engineers in steel plants and learn field-service best practices.
β Requirements & Skills
- π Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- π Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred.
- βοΈ Interest in industrial equipment, mechanical systems, or CNC machinery.
- π§ Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- βοΈ Willingness to travel to steel plant sites (valid driver's license preferred).
- π» Proficiency in Microsoft Office; exposure to CAD/technical drawing tools is a plus.
- π£οΈ Strong communication skills and ability to work in a field environment.
