🎯 About the Role
This 10-week summer internship program provides hands-on experience in financial management for The GIANT Company's retail business operations. You will work closely with the Finance team on budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting, collaborating with various business partners.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- 📊 Budgeting and Forecasting of various areas within the profit and loss statement.
- 📈 Financial analysis on various projects/initiatives to provide actionable insights.
- 🧮 Variance and trend analysis and explanation.
- fiscal period and quarter end reporting and analysis.
- 💰 Capital Spend and Working Capital Management.
- 🤝 Collaborate cross functionally with each area within the Finance department.
- 💡 Develop financial management and analysis skills through hands-on learning.
✅ Requirements & Skills
- ⭐ Students with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- 🎓 Students who are at least a sophomore in college.
- 🛠️ Familiarity with Power BI and advanced MS Excel skill set.
- 💡 Self-starter with initiative and natural curiosity.
- 🤝 Good people skills.
