Theme Lighting Design Intern

Assist in the design, documentation, and production of theme lighting fixtures for world-class Disney attractions, resorts, and entertainment venues.

🎯 About the Role

This internship involves supporting theme lighting design projects by assisting in design development, technical documentation, and fixture selection. You will provide design documentation, perform technical tasks, and support project leads with scope tracking and cost estimating.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 💡 Support theme lighting design projects.
• 📝 Assist in preparing theme lighting fixture selection documentation.
• 🎨 Provide design documentation including illustrations and photographs.
• 📐 Perform basic technical tasks and documentation.
• 📊 Support project leads with scope tracking and cost estimating.
• 📦 Assist the Specialty Design Production team.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎭 Knowledge and curiosity about Live Entertainment, Themed Entertainment, and Immersive Experiences.
• 🛠️ Experience in specialty item or fixture design and/or fabrication.
• 🤝 Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
• ⏱️ Strong organizational skills and ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
• ✍️ Ability to draft/draw by hand.
• 💻 Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, Rhino.
• architectural_plan Working knowledge of architectural drawings.
• 💡 Understanding of basic principles of Lighting.
• 🎓 Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Theatrical Design or related field.
