🎯 About the Role
This internship provides hands-on experience with Disney Cruise Line's Environmental Affairs team, focusing on maritime regulations, pollution incident analysis, and waste management. You will support daily vessel and island operations and review environmental policies.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- 🚢 Work with DCL Environmental Affairs teams on maritime regulations
- 📊 Contribute to data gathering projects like pollution incident analysis and VGP reports
- 🗑️ Support waste and hazardous waste offload requests, chemical management, and invoicing
- 📄 Review and update the DCL Environmental Safety Management System (SMS) policies
✅ Requirements & Skills
- 🌟 Desire to pursue a career in Maritime environmental operations, compliance, or policy
- 🌱 Basic knowledge of environmental programs (hazardous waste, solid waste, wastewater)
- ⚖️ Working-level understanding of environmental requirements
- ✍️ Technical writing skills for reports and operating guides
- 📈 Experience with data gathering and data management
- 💪 Demonstrated strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills
- 🚀 Self-starter with proven initiative; able to balance multiple tasks and priorities
- 💻 Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- 🌍 Available to work various shifts and travel as required
- 📜 A one-page summary of a current maritime policy as part of your application
