Environmental Engineer Intern

Assist in achieving environmental goals by managing chemical compliance, reporting, and process improvements at the Stevens Point Mill.

This internship supports the EHS team at the Stevens Point Mill, contributing to projects and daily tasks crucial for meeting environmental goals. Responsibilities include managing chemical inventory, updating environmental reports, and upgrading environmental systems. It's an opportunity to build skills and gain experience in environmental engineering within a team-focused setting.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🧪 Restructure and organize chemical management systems in the mill.
• 📊 Perform chemical inventory and update SARA reporting.
• 📉 Review and correct daily environmental sewer loss data.
• 🛠️ Upgrade environmental solids loss systems and associated equipment.
• 🗂️ Assist with records retention for environmental documentation.
• 💡 Provide problem-solving and analytical skills.
• ⭐ Assist or lead projects related to safety, quality, and compliance.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Enrolled in a Paper Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental, or similar Engineering degree program.
• ⭐ Strong technical aptitude and proven problem-solving abilities.
• 🗣️ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• 📍 Willing to relocate to Stevens Point, Wisconsin for Summer 2027.

💰 Compensation: $27.00 per hour
