Hardware Automation Software Engineering Intern

Develop and maintain wafer handling automation and measurement software using Python, interfacing with custom hardware and instruments.

This role involves building out automation and measurement software, implementing new features, interfacing with hardware, and debugging issues. You will focus on writing maintainable, documented, and reviewed code for the team.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
• 💡 Strong object-oriented programming skills.
• 🧠 Strong debugging skills, ability to trace down issues.
• 📐 Familiar with common design patterns and software architectures.
• 👤 Able to work independently at times.
• 🐍 Strong understanding of Python, ability to write maintainable code.
• 🧵 Understanding of multithreaded programs and principles.
• 🧪 Scripting experience for writing test cases and experiments.
• 🗂️ Organized and detail-oriented, should document progress.
• 🐙 Comfortable with using Git and GitHub.
• 🗣️ Good coding etiquette and solid communication skills.
