Engineering Intern

Assist the Engineering Department with continuous improvement initiatives, 3D design, and process optimization.

🎯 About the Role

This internship offers a broad range of experiences within an Engineering Department, including lean manufacturing principles, 3D design and printing, and process improvement. You will collaborate with shop personnel and engineers to enhance production efficiency and quality.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🛠️ Design, create, print, and test 3D fixtures for production needs.
• 🏭 Understand lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
• 📈 Analyze processes and input engineering changes for performance gains.
• 🤝 Collaborate with shop personnel to understand internal processes.
• 🔍 Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB) to identify root causes of defects.
• 📝 Collaborate with technical writers on updating work instructions.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🔧 Ability to read and interpret customer B/P's.
• 👷 Wear proper safety equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• 💡 Perform job tasks efficiently according to established standards.
• 🔄 Report any problems, discrepancies, or issues to management.
• ⚙️ Model castings and gating systems in CAD software.
