Respond to emergency incidents, perform firefighting activities, and engage in technical rescue and emergency medical response.
🎯 About the Role
This role involves responding to emergency incidents within the assigned district, performing critical firefighting tasks, and participating in various training activities. You will also contribute to the maintenance of department facilities and equipment.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- 🔥 Respond to emergency incidents and perform firefighting activities.
- 🚑 Perform technical rescue, emergency medical, and hazardous materials response.
- 🚒 Drive fire rescue vehicles and operate pumps and related equipment.
- 📚 Participate in required training, department meetings, and community activities.
- 🧹 Perform general maintenance of department facilities and equipment.
- 🗣️ Make presentations on safety, medical, and fire prevention topics to the community.
✅ Requirements & Skills
- 🎂 Must be at least 16 years of age.
- 🚗 Possession of a valid Minnesota Driver's License with a good driving history.
- 🏡 Possess or have immediately available a reliable mode of transportation.
- ⚕️ Current or past participant of a secondary school CTE program focused on Health and Human Services (i.e., EMT course, OEC program).
- 🚑 Current Minnesota EMSRB certified Emergency Medical Responder or higher designation.
