Trainee Sterilisation Technician

🎯 About the Role

This role involves working within the Sterile Services Department at the RVI and Freeman Hospitals, reprocessing medical devices under the guidance of supervisors. You will start at Band 2 and progress to Band 3 upon successful completion of the in-house training program. This is a physically demanding role.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• • Assist with the efficient processing and preparation of reusable surgical instrumentation.
• • Reprocess medical devices, including flexible endoscopes.
• • Contribute to stock control and general housekeeping duties.
• • Maintain accurate records related to reprocessing activities.
• • Complete the in-house training program to progress to Band 3.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• • English and Maths at level 1 or equivalent (GCSE 3-2 or D-E).
• • Basic IT skills.
• • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• • Ability to work under direction as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• • Health and safety knowledge.
